I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
