'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League return

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden significant honor of his notable career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he earlier was, and would definitely contemplate extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich is Kane's top focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
