A member of the famed Kennedy family, Tatiana Schlossberg, died on Tuesday after a recent announcement of a rare blood cancer diagnosis.

The sad news was shared in a social media post by the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.
“Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts.”

Within a personal essay in November, she disclosed that she had been diagnosed with AML, a form of leukemia with a rare mutation.
This form of cancer is a malignancy that targets the blood and bone marrow.
